The Role
We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed individual to join our close knit, friendly team. We are a busy first opinion, fully equipped small animal veterinary hospital that provides its own 24hr emergency care, giving you the opportunity to see your cases progress. We have an experienced team with an external orthopaedic surgeon and cardiologist, along with an experienced team of 8 Veterinary Surgeons, 7 Nurses, 3 Student Nurses, 4 Receptionists, placement nurses and office team.
A typical FTE working week is 36- 37.5 hours covering the main hospital and a branch site in Hathersage. This role covers both day shifts (8- 9 ½ hr shifts with paid ½ hr lunch) with participation in the on call rota including weekdays and weekends (worked from home with nurse on site) on a flexible shift rota.
Part-time position, including on call rota participation also considered.

While we find our new team members we have locum work available over the summer months. Especially 20/07/2022- 09/08/2022, 01/10/2022- 09/10/2022, 19/10/2022- 06/11/2022 and 14/11/2022- 20/11/2022. We would like someone who is happy with some sole charge in our branch or at the start/ end of our working day. Happy with consults and operations and even better (but not essential) if you like the excitement of helping to cover our 24 hour on site emergency service. Accommodation can be provided if needed.
