Lily's Diabetes

Lily is one of our newly diabetic patients. Her owners noticed her drinking, urinating and eating a lot more at home but she was also losing weight and was quite out of sorts. Her blood and urine tests revealed high levels of glucose, indicating diabetes. Lily has to have two insulin injections a day, morning and night, for the rest of her life as treatment. It's still early days, and Lily is having repeat blood and urine tests regularly, but she is much better in herself and is almost fully stabilised now. She is a pleasure to care for!
