This lovely chap is Charlie who we have recently seen at the hospital. Charlie ran off one morning and unfortunately fell off a high wall. His owner noticed he wasn’t putting any weight on his back left leg and brought him down to us straight away.

Charlie was very brave when he was examined and still wagging his tail but he was very sore around his thigh area, his leg was swollen and we were concerned he may have broken his leg.

He was admitted and X-rays of his leg were taken which revealed a nasty fracture of his femur (thigh bone). Charlie stayed with us in the hospital and had surgery on his leg to bring the bones back together and allow the fracture to heal. A plate was placed on his Femur and screws placed to secure the plate in order to repair the fracture.
Charlie recovered well from the surgery and is now back home with his owners. We wish him a speedy recovery.
