Requirements for re-checks for repeat medication

Your pet will need to attend the surgery for regular medication check ups.

This is a legal requirement and allows the vet to provide the best treatment for you pet, monitor your pet’s response to treatment and the suitability of the medication. The frequency of medication rechecks will usually be every 3-4 months* or as directed by the attending vet. New guidance from the RCVS from September 2023 does restrict the supply of some medications which MUST have a physical check before each dispense. Visit here for more details

*(12 months for flea and worm treatments)
